This tender film essay questions the role of image-making as a tool of both testimony and violence when connected to entanglements between people and the land.

Seeing Red reanimates North Wales’ only gay bar The Three Crowns, destroyed by arson a decade ago. This bilingual video (Welsh and English) turns to the act of queer looking, using the colour red as it's point of departure with references the photographic darkroom, painting and Derek Jarman. The work includes fragments of interviews with erstwhile patrons, fiction writing and an assemblage of an informal archive from digital remnants submerged in abstraction.


The work largely uses a collection of photographs that live on a facebook group dedicated to the bar, taken by avid photographer and local hero Keith Parry. With Keith's permission before his death, the artist has manipulated the images into a series vignettes, calling into question how minoritised histories and minoritised language lives on the fringes.

Festival International du Film Indépendant de Bordeaux (FIFIB) / Frac MÉCA — 2025 Set in modern-day Tangier, In Praise of Slowness follows the laborious journey of a man collecting empty bottles, which he later sells to bleach vendors that roam the labyrinthic streets of the old city. In the face of the global economic and technological forces reshaping the city of Tangier, the profession of the bleach vendors seems to be on the verge of disappearing, yet this film portrait of their supply chain – and notably their insistent chanting – conveys acoustic and visual images of endurance. In Praise of Slowness speaks to the accelerated urbanization and industrialization of Tangier, but also attests to how locally situated choreographies of slowness articulate modes of resistance to the speed of capitalism.

Post-Production on Sound     Hannan Jones Wharram Percy is a deserted mediaeval village in Yorkshire, England. Its demise is narrated by Tony, a retired farm labourer and amateur champion fish breeder. As his story unravels he is interrupted by the fate of his own village (Linton-on-Ouse), a troupe of Freestyle dancers and a paranormal society. These narratives converge across varying time periods and geographies to describe a recurring English history of evictions from land and property.
